Folks,

(Apologies - I am traveling and cant set reliable eyes on the mill in question)

I am preparing to put my PM932 M mill on Craigslist. (Purchased the mill from Matt in March 2015). I have a technical issue. There is a bracket that adapts the x-axis power feed to the mill table. The power feed mounts to the bracket with two M8 machine screws. One of the M8 threaded holes in the bracket is stripped. The bracket is staked to the mill table with two pins. PM Parts Dept. can sell me a replacement bracket, but hasn't been able to tell me whether I can drive those pins out - or whether I will need to drill them out (messy). (It depends whether the mill table is drilled (and reamed?) thru - to accommodate the staking pins. If the holes are thru holes, I can drive out the pins.

[Thought about helicoil repair on the stripped hole - but the bracket leg hosting the holes is relatively thin (5/8"?) ]

Appreciate some help. Can I drive the pins out?

(have included a pdf file with a graphic)

One or the other part that the pins go together is probably a slip fit. The feed is meant to come off and on. Use a Helicoil and you'll be good to go.
