I finally got around to setting up my surface grinder duct collector hood.
I used a section of unistrut bolted to floor joist above, and made a maple "slider" to raise and lower the hood. I then milled out an aluminum plate to slide the hood in and out.
I can place the hood close, or slide out for instances of grinding longer items (or chuck)
Works great and is plenty solid.
I have a few tweaks to make.
The collector is a Donaldson Torit, which I purchased thru Craigslist, and the grinder is a Mitsui 6x12.
