About a week or so ago, I was asking questions about either the Sherline 3054S and the Taig #2035 boring head, I would like to try. Welp, my Taig #2035 boring head arrived today.
This all started the next day, I was talking to my cousin about what everyone had said, this was while I was doing some head work, for his insane (my word) go-kart project. As I was reassembling his engine, he was ordering me a boring head (personally I thought he was viewing Asian porn), so in addition to the case of Mt Dew Code Red (at times I work cheap), the work was paid for by the boring head purchase.
Insane go-kart, chrome-moly frame, 350cc Rotax random twin engine, 7 speed gear box, top speed 175 mph+
The Taig boring head does not have the adjusting screw, that the Sherline has, other than that it seems very similar, to what I seen. Is it super technical??, No. Is it well made??, Seems so. Will it work for what I want it for??, Probably. We shall see, if not it did not cost me a dime. It came with two small boring bars, whether, they are useful or were shipping box ballast, at this point is unknown.
