Just an FYI for the collective: Taig right now has 3 and 4 jaw scroll chucks with a 1” x 8tpi thread on clearance for $20 each. They are 3-1/4” diameter chucks with replaceable aluminum soft jaws. They use included tommy bars to operate the scroll. This is the same chuck Taig makes for their own lathes, but with the different thread. I just got one of each, and they fit perfectly on my lathe and seem to be good quality. US made.
