The reason I do this .

I am a retiring machine shop owner . My children ( other than one ) know nothing about , or could care less about metal / wood / glass working tools . As I clean and post tools onto here and then the bay , they are inventoried and clearly marked . My son will be able to easily take care of the bay sales of tools ( if an untimely event happens to me ) and I won't have to worry about being buried with them . They will not be over burdened with the abundance as I was . I hope this makes some sense to all . I plan ahead .

All this post does is strengthen my hope that my son takes an interest in anything I do. Whether it be music, or machining, or carpentry, or just any kind of work that involves creating anything with your hands and your heart.

mmcmdl, That must be so hard disposing of tools and not having your kids clamoring for them. My daughter is 21 in a few weeks and has just decided to build a guitar so I know there will be more visits and hopefully she will want to get into the tools more. Like many I wonder what will become of my treasures.
