Years ago, when I was a T&D apprentice, I made a small die that was held together with about fifteen 1/4 alien head screws.
While completing the die, boss told me to relieve about 3/16" to 1/4" of threads on end of each screw. Turn them down to minor diameter.
When I asked why, he stated that the operator may have to disassemble several times a day and he used a small air impact wrench.
He needed to be able to just place each screw back into die and tighten when assembling.
No need to hand start because they wouldn't cross thread.
He said it wasn't really necessary but was a little added insurance.
I have used this technique many times on a lot of projects.

I just assembled a repaired part in a Homedic hand massager and the cover had four screws that were about 3" long.
Since screw threads were covered with the cover, it would have been very difficult to even locate threads.
I relieved about four threads and they were easy.
Wish I had took photos.
