I have the Australian version of the SB9A. On mine, there are two setscrews on the shaft that holds the thread dial in place. One on the dial body and one one the apron. On mine, they are both on the front, but the pictures I've seen of the SB show the dial screw on the top and the apron screw on the front. If one is loose, the dial will still be able to rotate too easily.
