does anyone know where I can get name plates and speed/threading brass plates repainted?

I spent hours searching online for plates for a south bend lathe I'm restoring. I did find a couple of reproduction plates on ebay ,but not my model. I considered using thin brass and number punching ( from the back, on a piece of wood to make raised numbers on the opposite side ), paint the raised number side then abraid to expose brass numbers, epoxy topcoat.

If your just repainting an old stamped sheet it should be quite easy to apply it and wipe off the excess paint, maybe a little masking.

Guy on our fire department does T shirt screening and printing.
I wonder if he could do a metal plate?
He would want a digital graphic he could feed in.
You might check with your local t-shirt printer?
Also, Trophy manufactures?
Graphic banner and vehicle sticker businesses?
Again its the graphics that gets pricey.
The printing is cheap and easy.
Or so I've heard....

They can print plastic stick-on rock guards for your truck hood.
They gotta be able to print a sticker for speeds feeds that will stand up to oils. Maybe?
