I have a "dedicated" vise grip on my TV antenna. My TV antenna mast goes through my roof into an attic space. Rather than use a rotor for the once or twice a year I have to tweak the direction, I can loosen the U bolt clamps and rotate it from inside the attic which I do with a pair of dedicated vise grips. The problem though is that I can't see how much I have rotated the antenna so I have a length of 1/3" rod hastened to the vise grips to show the direction the antenna is pointing.

I could make a dedicated lever and pointer for this and reclaim my vise grips but I have about a dozen pairs of vise grips so the urge to do so usn't particularly strong.
