Tool holder for mini mill

I need to do a simple turning job, and having no lather, plan to do it on my mini mill. The stock is 1/2" round brass, so that should go in the Colet or chuck fine.
How do I hold the turning tool? I could clamp it on a 3-2-1 block, but is there a better way?

Chuck it in a collet. a chuck may let it squirm around, leaving a tri-lobed surface. Clamp the tool on top of a 1 2 3 block or in a vice, if there's enough room. Any port in a storm, anyone could do it in a lathe.

I have put round stock in a V-block and used a boring head to turn parts down in my mill.

Or hold the tool in a smaller "toolmaker's vise" and clamp that in the mill vise.
