Toolpost grinders

Thanks for the pictures. They give me some good ideas on making one myself.

Pict # 016 - Could you post some additional pictures of that setup? Looks like a decent 1/4" DIA. grinder.
It's Air driven isn't it? Thx.

This is some more photos of the 1/4" air die grinder---LATHE GRINDERS & Shaper tool 016.JPGLATHE GRINDERS & Shaper tool 014.JPGLATHE GRINDERS & Shaper tool 015.JPGIt is simply a metal tube with a length of key stock welded to side. Grinder is held securely with 1/4" set screws.
I can take more photos if needed. Simple but works.

Any pics of the best grind finish? And which one made/did it. Thanks in advance...Dave

No I do not have any photos of finishes and it has been years since I needed a really fine finish.
Most of my grinding is on small items but have used the large grinder on large shafts and such.

A lot simpler than the one a made for the Foredom head.
Although I like the bigger wheel etc on the center three pics.
Thanks for sowing,

I use a 1 1/4" boring bar holder with a sleeve to fit my Foredom hand piece.

Grinder is a Milwaukee 5196 and is limited as to the size wheel that can be used. Max rated RPM is 16,000 R P M. and is too high for some larger diameter grinding wheels.
I have debated selling this grinder since I seldom use it.
