Tree taper boring tool

Just purchased and had to replace one of the tee bolts. Very easy repair if anyone has to do it.

Yes, I have one as well. Was elated to have her land in my lap!
But haven't yet used her.
Am curious what application any of you might have chosen a Tree boring head for.

They are nice for boring morse taper like your in you lathe ect. They where used in the Die/Mold industry be for CNC years ago.

I gave 550 @ auction. Hope that wasn't too bad?

When I put it back together I did put some very light grease on the worm gear and the other gears. Hope I didn't do wrong. It does have 2 spots where it calls for light oil. Probably should have just used way oil and been done with it.
