where does tripoli powder stand with rottenstone. is tripoli finer or coarser that rottenstone for rubbing out wood finishes? i know that there are many other rubbing compounds for wood finishes (i probably have most of them). i'm looking for a particular sheen and using rottenstone and wax. but, i was wondering where tripoli falls in coarsness??
