Carbide burrs are incredibly useful. However the vast majority of advertised 1/4 shank burrs on Amazon LIE about the shank size. They claim 1/4” but are really 6mm.
6mm shank WILL NOT WORK correctly in a 1/4 collet, sure you can tighten the **** out of it, but the burr will pull out.
I went through three other brands, all lie about shank size until I found these YUFUTOOL ones. These are a genuine 1/4” size shank and work perfectly.
They’re only $36 and work great.
Note, I have absolutely no connection to the seller, and I have zero financial insensitive here. I found these bits, they work well, and I recommend them and don’t waste your time trying different 6mm bits.
