A little backstory: I have a Tree Journeyman 310 Vertical CNC Mill, with Dynapath 20 controls which I'm trying to sell. I wanted to start it up to ensure it worked, and bought a RPC panel from North America Phase Converters and a 5hp 3phase motor form eBay and put a RPC together.

I have the basic installation and start up instructions for a Journeyman 325, but no operating manual. I followed the instructions and the machine started right up. It had an error code for low lube reservoir--which I topped off and it cleared.

The machine has to be referenced in the X, Y, and Z axis by moving the carriage and quill to a specific location--marked by arrows on the table for X and Y, and retracting the quill till flush in the Z. The quill is presently about 3/4" below flush.

I was able to jog the table to the X & Y reference points with the switches on the control panel (see picture) but can't get the Z to move. I also can't get the spindle to turn on.

If I set the reference points as they are, with the X and Y in the correct place and Z extended will it allow then allow me to move the quill, then re-reference everything? Also, will I then be able to turn the spindle on?

Any help would be greatly appreciated... PLUS if anyone has a copy of the operator's and programming manuals, I'd be glad to pay for them to be copied and emailed or mailed to me.

Regards,
