Looking for information on restoration of a United States Machine Tool Co. Milling Machine, any help would be appreciated.

Not sure what exactly you are looking for or which model you have but here is what a quick search provided.

Over the years US Machine Tools made several models of horizontal and vertical mills. We would need to know which model you have to be of any help.

As an FYI US Machine tools was bought out by the Burke Milling machine company shortly after WWII. There currently is a Burke Mills Yahoo Group with considerable information on both US Machine Tools and Burke machines. The downside is that this group will no longer exist after Dec.14th since Yahoo is discontinuing support of all Yahoo Groups.

Also there have been several US Machine Tools mill restoration projects documented on the Practical Machinist website.

I believe all are in the Antique Machinery and History section

If you go to this site be sure to read the rules first. They do not allow the discussion of hobby grade machines. Also tread lightly as there is plenty of good information available, but there are also some crusty individuals who enjoy picking on hobbyists. You'll get plenty of help if you can wade through the comments without becoming confrontational.
