This site has been posted a couple of times in other threads but mostly just for a specific machine.
Thought I'd post it with a title that will show up easily in a site search.
Rather a varied range of info, mostly lathes with some other cool stuff.

This one was neat, "hitchcocks machine tool list jan 1906":

Shows machines and accessories from said year. There's a couple in there I'd sure like to score.

My Standard Tool Company chuck, quite similar to this one, does not say "improved" on it. Perhaps older than 1906?

Your post got me to thinking/recalling/wondering... Down in the bottom junk tray drawer where all the junque that came with my Logan resides, I found something similar this morning. Never really looked at it before. She needs some luvin' & TLC.
It doesn't say 'improved' or 'supreme' anywhere either...

Those chucks are not just nice to look at. They are every bit as good in use as modern drill chucks. Strong, accurate, built to last. Ulma Doctor has a small collection of them, really nice chucks. They were probably too expensive to make, due to the design with the opposing left and right hardened square cut threads and other fussy details. If you can find them, grab them!

hmmmm, perhaps that's a possible, 'proper' retirement location for Ms. Weaver, instead of rusting away in East TN.
