Vintage power hacksaw video

Good eye. Yes, the vise is mounted to a rotor so I can move it around as needed for welding. It a heavy rotor off a pickup, so it stays where I need it. My buddy liked it so much I made one for him too.

Charles,
I have a saw identical to your Craftsman but it is badged "IXL". Do you use regular hand hacksaw blades? Mine came with a blade that was 1" high.

Wow that saw is running fast!
I changed the original motor on my Marvel 9A from a 480V(if I remember correctly) to a 220V.
It went that fast and tried to walk itself across the shop!

I then changed the sprockets to slow it way down(and put some rubber feet on it) and now feel much better about it.

The saw is bolted to the floor in a very old shop in Detroit, if it's not bolted down or 2 heavy to move they will steal it. The shop is filled with very cool old vintage machinery from the past. Waiting for the day that I can see the power forging hammer running.
