I built a Dial Indicator holder for the BXA Quick change tool Post on my lathe.

A while back I got a cheapo box of what appeared to be exacto knives, only to find the collet was plastic.
So, I took a look at simply making a collet, but since the threads were metric and I did not feel like changing
the end gears, I decided to just make a set out of 6061T6 from 1/2" bar stock and use 1/4-20 threads. I
think they came out quite nice.

I think I will have to make a dedicated dial indicator holder, nice not use up another holder AND to do my first Dove tail cut

That was my first dovetail cut! (hooray!)--and for the same reasons as you, I did not want to eat into my QCTP holders for a DI holder.
