Weird wear on gib (photos attached)

This is the Y GIB from my X2 size mill, everything was fine but then my Y axis began to display wiggle.
Tried to tighten them and started to bind at end of travel, decided to remove GIB and take a look.

It has a lip there on the edge of about .030

Was going to sand it flat but wanted to post here and see what might have cause it and best way to solve it.

yes, i would concur that removing the raised edge would be a good plan of action.

as far as what caused it, it appears that the wear path indicates only a small contact strip.
the more bearing surface you have in contact, the less wear you'll get.
when you have a narrow slit carrying the load, it will wear quickly.

the best way of solving the poor wear characteristics is to rescrape the gib
 
I pulled my X Just because I had things apart and the X has the same wear, so guess will be doing both.

Trying to reattach file for zoom not sure how this works.

It seems to be reducing quality still original image is like 2963x727
 
Can you take a couple of pictures from different angles. I'm not seeing a gib there.
