What Did You Buy Today?

Nice boxes Mike! Never seen ones with a tilt like that. What do you think they were for? Seems kinda special.

in Eddy’s thread about “mental illness” it was interesting to see what everyones metal illness was. His was drill presses, some were lathes. Mine is drawer units. My last score was a an old flat file cabinet. Today in a local antique store I ran into this for $40. Not sure what it was originally, maybe a drill index? Or for specialized bits for router? Dunno. Too good to pass up don’t know what I’ll use it for or where I’ll put it.

The red one has what looks like Army green on the inside of the drawers, and lower compartment, so guessing it was a government contracted piece. It also has an accordion style pull down door for the lower section. The gray one I'm not sure, may be a tool box for some specific kind of equipment. Maybe someone here will recognize one or the other, and can enlighten us. I've been looking for some of those flat files for years, but always seem to miss getting the ones I see on Craigs list, or FBMP. Mike

Carbon fiber roll up boat pole, rated for 60 pound push...
75" long extended, about 4" diameter rolled!
It's bi-stable, like a snap bracelet.

I sent an extra $1,250 to my unsecured debt this week. This is on top of the minimum payments. All of my overtime money usually goes to the hobby.

I am 25 days into a year long project (65-hour work weeks with no vacation or sick days) to lose 100 lbs. & become debt free. I am down 17 lbs. (so 17% of the weight loss goal), & the debt is down 8%.

Working the long hours makes staying on the diet very easy (I pack my meals & I am way to cheap to spend money on food outside of a grocery store), & like I said all the OT money is swiftly transferred electronically to the debt as soon as the paycheck hits the bank.

That deserves a “you suck!” emoji, if I only had one in my phone.

Rick “could definitely use a drawer unit like that” Denney
