Hey from South Carolina.
I've just squired this mill and really don't know what I have. I'll post up some pics and thanks for having me here!

Looks like you have the seed that will grow and grow... until your wife shows up with a jug of Round-Up and cancels your credit cards.

Congratulations, I'd be happy to get started with a mill like that. It's rough enough that you'll get to know the machine first, but nice enough that it won't be a money pit on the way.
 
The main body is the original Bridgeport round column milling machine in the later style. The early style were split vertically where the ram passes through. The later style were split horizontal where the ram passes through.

I get confused on the details between the M and early J heads, but if you look at the head it will have a serial number on the front that will determine which it is.
