What do you use to protect machines when not in use?

I`m having a couple custom motorcycle style rain covers made for my lathe and mill. The guy at my local marina is doing them for me..I measured out a top and four sides and he`s cutting them out and stitching them together..$75 each...even has the elastic bottoms
 
When I turn a machine off I cover it in air, it is readily available and inexpensive.
Often there is more free air available then needed which can be sold to someone less fortunate.
