What grease for grease universal milling head?

Hi All, I'm restoring a 1930/40's Pallas HO Horizontal Mill, what type grease should l use in the universal milling head, it has two bevel gears?

if you go with a grease containing molybdenum disulfide, you'll be happy you did !

It also has 2 grease nipples for the top and bottom bearings, will it be OK for those bearings too?

generally speaking, the MoS2 greases are pretty good for most applications.

You might want to look at the specs for John Deere Corn head grease. It is an interesting thicksotropic lubricant.

Just an FYI: Stens makes a 00 grease for lawnmower transmissions and the like. Availabe at mower repair shops incase there aren't any corn binding stores in your area...
