Not sure how else to describe it. If I wanted to permanently set a polished pin in a reamed hole. What Locktite should I use?
Thank you

I've used loctite 243 on security pin. I use the 243 and 2701 on everything and have never had anything come apart

It depends on clearance and material.

Steel and aluminum
Dang,
I was afraid there was going to be questions. I just want an all purpose strong easy to use locktite.
243-2701-got it.
I went over to the local NAPA and he told me there are so many choices. I just want one or two.
Thanks

I use green Locktite 290 for assembled part. 243 is a threadlocker medium duty

Great, keep them coming I'll look up the specs. I saw a video of someone using 636?

If there's a Loctite (note the spelling) Applications Engineer reading this thread, he/she is :grin::grin:.

I've read that Loctite sells more than 1,000 types of high-technology sealants, adhesives, and coatings. Understanding the significant factors is important to making a good choice.

Loctite Product Selector Guide

I've used 680 for non-threaded pieces. so far no failures....

I downloaded the locktite Product Guide. They do make a bunch of products and yes the clearance makes a difference.
Thank you!

Yup, depends on the clearance but my favorite is 603.
