I think that could be something for my mini mill with the need of digging a little deeper in this topic. With servos I think always they are a little bit overkill if sized properly and have too many components for a reliable use over decades to come.
So, some of you use a footswitch to operate the drill press. I don’t like the idea of allowing it to start the machine on its own, maybe as a 2nd stop switch.
