Ok, so I am looking to buy 10 3c collets, off ebay, for $55. They say, I can pick which 10 sizes I want. They offer these sizes...

1/16, 1/8, 3/16, 1/4,, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16,1/2,

5/32, 7/32, 9/32, 11/32, 13/32, 15/32,

9/64, 11/64, 13/64, 15/64, 17/64, 19/64, 21/64, 23/64, 25/64, 27/64, 29/64, 31/64

My question is two fold.
1. Do you think these can possibly be decent quality, for this price?

2. Which 10 would prove to be the most useful on my sb9a?

This will be my 1st set of collets, and I cant decide which I would use most. Obviously, the 1/2 will be a go, seeing as how that's the biggest 3c goes, but which others do yall think you, or I, would use most? If the quality is there, I will eventually get all of them, but it might be a while. Thanks in advance, you guys always come through for me!

yes the quality can be quite good for the price.
i have purchased import collets with respectable runout tolerances, far better than any 3 jaw chuck.
once you make a cut the work will be concentric to the axis anyway, regardless of the collet runout,
but it is nice to start with minimal runout

which 10 would depend on the work you intend on doing i suppose.
i'd definitely get 1/8, 3/16 ,1/4, 5/16, 7/16, 1/2 , and add the 19/64 , 21/64, 25/64, 31/64

the collets will accept slightly smaller and slightly larger work than stamped
