I'm thinking about ordering a power feed from Enco for the X-axis on my PM935.
Which one should I get?
I can't tell from the description which one would fit my mill.
How do you size these?
A week or so ago there was a thread about a guy that built a power feed that looked very nice . The link to the drive was a deep well socket . It seemed like it could be built without too much trouble. Also I read an article in Home Shop Machinist or Machinist work shop a while ago of a guy that bought a power feed from Harbor Freight.
Matt at QMT has some new styles that work really well. Pretty easy install once you just look at the pics as the translation isn't all that great... like most, if not all the manuals from that part of the world.
I have the x-axis power feed from QMT on my 935 and it works fine. The instructions are a bit lacking, but even I who have never installed this type of drive figured it out ok. Took a couple of extra tries with the shims, but no real big deal.
