My never ending love for motorcycles and modifying them has led me to finally buy a mini lathe. And when I'm more experienced with it, will also acquire a small mill too. I've been building and riding Harley's since 1979, my first bike was a 1952 Pan Head chopper, I was 19 then. I build my own motors, transmission, and do everything that I can possibly do myself, I farm out to experts things that I'm not an expert in.

I always have the need for a new tool, bracket for an indicator, a spacer, a custom tool, to modify something, etc., etc.

And yes I built that motor last winter in the house. :p

This site is going to be really helpful to me, I already see miles and miles of knowledge about machining here, and people that aren't afraid to share and help.

Nice work. Bet you wish you still had that chopper.

Yes I do. I'm too old to ride a ridged frame bike very far, heck it wasn't that comfortable back then either. :)

Harley's have always been my first passion, and always will be. But it kind of goes hand in hand with machining if you like to make changes and do things yourself.
