My rotary phase converter measured 247-258V when I tested it today under no load. I have a brand new $750 mill motor that just arrived to replace the one that I fried when I first ran my new purchase, an Enco 100-1525 mill, last week. I don't want to cook this motor, so can anyone tell me if it is safe to run these voltages? I thought 220-230V was what it was supposed to be, so I am concerned.
The first motor had a low speed lead crossed up with a high speed wire, so I was pretty sure that's what burned out the original motor when I ran it on high after only a few minutes. But after testing the RPC, I have to ask.
Thanks
