There's a joke amongst family and friends that I was a tree in a former life.
I find it real difficult to pass on picking up hunks of wood, from downed hickory branches to hand railings.
Picked this up at the Library sale the other day. It's really neat. The title of the book, I think, is perfect.
©1965 this one was the second printing in 1974.

If you old timey things anything by Eric Sloane will be your cup of tea.

i have reverence for wood,
but i sure hate the splinters!

i wish i could work wood like the professionals,
but unfortunately my best attempts look childish in comparison :bang head:
