Wood shaper cutters?

Came with some machinist stuff. The top row is 1" x 2" x either1\8" or 3/16" and the bottom row is 1x1.5x1/8. Side profile pic provided. Wood shaper cutters?

Yeah, and interestingly only two of each profile. That would have been an old style cutter head, the more recent Richards style had three and with a single hole for attachment.

Simpson Sears made a set like that when I was an apprentice. We used to make moldings on a radial arm saw with a cutter head and those inserts. I bought a set 30 years ago and never used them. Shapers or moulders with carbide or diamond insert tooling is much better.

Molding head cutter. Made this base, shoe, and tongue and groove flooring with one on an old Sears 8" table saw , 45 years ago.
