Wooden Prototype-2.500" and 3.000" Wood Dowels

Found one 3" wood dowel at Rocklers for $50.Doesn't sound good to us.

Should we just turn them out of basswood?

Where do we get true 1.000" thick boards? Basswood would be the best.

All we can find is Midwest 1x3x12 basswood and balsa blocks.

Those 1.000" thick boards we want 4.000" wide.Maybe 3 or 4 feet of it.

What about Home Depot? They carry some hardwoods

Check out a custom cabinet shop. May have to glue up stock and turn to size.
