I don't have the space for a bridgeport and don't think the prospect of carting it in pieces into my basement shop sounds like fun, so I am looking for something a little smaller. I'm pretty open to options from something like the Grizzly 'little bridgeport' G0731 (~900lbs, 8X30 table) down to some of the smaller benchtop mills.
Like a lot of folks I'd love a Clausing 8520 type, although a millrite or similar with an R8 spindle would probably be smarter unless there is tooling in the deal as well.
Would like to avoid 3Phase power, but I know that is surmountable. I'm fairly open to a range of options as almost all of my previous experience has been with lathes and while I don't really have any interest in the mini-mills I'd consider most mid-size mills.
Basically I'm looking for mid-size vertical mills in or near Kentucky. Anyone have one they would part with for a reasonable price?
