X axis direction ???

Just got my 9-j hooked up today. I think my x axis is reversed? Because of the stop dogs is this possible?
 
On the Gorton the bottom of the lever indicates direction of travel and not the top.

Bottom of lever to left, the table travels left until it makes contact with right hand stop dog and vice versa.

Same for the Y axis. Bottom of the lever towards you the table travels toward you.

You are correct, however when I bought my Gorton this was not the case. I had to reverse the motor in the starter box.
