Advice On Loosening An Ellis Dividing Head

That's amazing. I wonder why it got tight, pretty sure it wasn't made that way. Happy the hear you got it loosened up.
 
No idea why it was so tight. In a perfect world I'd loosen the bolts on the back cover and turn it with one finger but there would be no play in it. I'll settle for one hand though.
