Broken Screw??

I would go with the small pilot drill to drill through the screw hit it with WD and then a left hand bit. Unless it is really bad it should wind itself out.
Yup that could work.. in any case he does not have a big problem on his hands. That screw just needs a bit of persuasion, and it will give up its home.

Lots of good suggestions here.
One thing to keep in mind. The worst that can happen is that the hole gets buggered up. You can just drill a 1/4" hole, drive in a plug, and drill a fresh hole. It is only for securing a wiper, it is not under any load and does not have to be especially precise.

I agree with the reply that the last thing you want to do put a drill bit into the broken screw. Use that method as a last resort. I learned to remove broken screws and bolts from a old gentleman, removing broken bolts from small aircraft engines. The method that was used was a small punch and a small hammer and try to spin the broken piece out, you may want to soak in good oil first. Good luck and take your time.

Guys this weekend I am going to give the punch a try first and see how it goes, taking my time.Which I never gave that a thought so thanks for the ideal. If that don't work then gave the other methods a try,see how that goes.Lots of good ideals here that I just did not know how to go about removing broken screws. Thanks guys----kroll
