Well i pretty much stumbled upon this little thing while i was at work and enquired about it and got it given to me, so i brang home gave it abit of a clean and everything is tight and works well exept the feed to the lead screw needs a new spring i think

From what i can see it is an "EMPIRE" lathe the name got damaged when i wiped it down....
Any info on this wee thing woud be much appreciated, as it needs a chuck and i have no clue where start so if somebody could point me in the right direction for a chuck that would be great!

No way Daryl. This one is much smaller....
Laytonnz, measure the headstock thread diameter and pitch for a start. You never know, you might find a chuck or backing plate with that thread available. Otherwise, you might have someone bore and thread one to suit. For a chuck, depends on what you want to do with the late. By the looks of it a 4" chuck might look right. Check out eBay for one.

Ill take a few better pictures tonight and size comparison and measure the threads

I had a quick measure before work, the spindle is 16 mm and I measured 6 threads in an inch? Unsure if I did this right?

16 mm is about 5/8" But a 5/8 - 6 thread seems awful coarse.
