A Shepard Lathe

Here is a 1890s Shepard lathe I saved from the scrap heap.It appears to have been foot powered.. Someday I'll find a flywheel..
Has a nice brass name tag on tailstock.
Still enjoying the fun of traveling the country looking for parts,for it an other pieces..
Has set of change gears .And backgears..
No.1 Morse taper,
Looking for a 1"x 8? chuck adapter.also could mount a DC.

No reason you couldn't put a motor on it- unless you have restless feet that need something to do

Yes ,off the grid,an the flywheel stores energy.
How about a Cascade of flywheels ..
