Gear Cover Bracket for which SB Model?

I have what I believe is a gear cover bracket for a South Bend lathe, but not sure of which model it fits. I have a 9C and the arm length is too short. The numbers 9-147 are part of the casting.

I looked at the cover bracket on my 9C and couldn't find any part numbers, the bracket pictured above is too short for my 9C. I seem to recall reading earlier model 9's had a wider bed, could this bracket be from a model 9 produced before the models A, B or C were made?

1947 parts listing shows 147 is the cover bracket for all 9" models.
Are you sure you have a C model ?

I definitely have a 9c. Gear cover plate is labeled 9c and it looks like all the pics I've seen.

Ebay has a cover bracket for A, B or C,'s listed with a p/n of 147NK2. Looks just like the one on my 9c.
