This is only my second post so please bear with me.I'm a newbe to the site, but I've never used a site that had so many knowledgable people willing to share what they know.I've got a newbe question for the Hardinge group-how do you teardown a Hardinge tailstock? I've got one that has been on a shelf for 25yrs. The barrel freed up with just a little hard grease and varnish, but someone generously left a Jacobs chuck in the taper, and of course it refuses to release. I figure a teardown and cleaning won't hurt plus I'll be able to remove the chuck shank with a brass rod.I thought I'd ask for guidance before I started turning allen wrenches. This tailstock is for a split-bed lathe-I think a 59 model. Many thanks--David
