I am looking for help identifying my old drill press. I can't find any names or S/N on it, but there is a lot of paint.

Hi and welcome,

Had to look it up but 600w oil is a thing.

No idea of the manufacturer but there may be identification marks that will show up if it's cleaned.

Is it your yet? Looks very stout.

John

Yes, it's mine already. I have had it for several years but would like to figure out information on it.

600W is commonly called steam cylinder oil, used for worm gear lube and antique car transmissions and rear axles, and of course for steam engine internal lubrication.
I have never heard that. When I searched it I found 600W was what was used in model T transmissions.

I’ll throw out a guess of Fosdick. But I browsed images on Google for twenty minutes and couldn’t match it.
Cool machine!
