Afternoon,

Can you guys help me out with a model number and weight on the pictured horizontal mill. Offered in a "local" (150 miles away) auction. I was in the market for a small horizontal mill, like a Burke No. 4, but this one popped up. Also, please share any thoughts on the mill and it hobby applicability.

Thanks,

Greg

Those are well made and sturdy. They made a vertical/horizontal version also, as well as a vertical only model.
You could adapt a vertical milling head to it and make it into a versatile combo machine
How much are they asking for it?

Thanks for the information guys. No vertical head included, also, no power feed. Just received verification that it is indeed a #12-120.

Converting a horizontal for a vertical is apparently not difficult. As I understand it these started as horizontals and Rockwell just added a vertical head. Bridge Port M heads were popular for converting horizontals to verticals. M heads pop up and usually are not terribly expensive $400-500 being fairly typical for a decent one from what I've seen.
