Small 4 jaw chuck, 4" or so.

Looking for a decent small 4 jaw chuck for my Prazi lathe in the 4" range.

Main stipulation is that it be thin front to back to lessen spindle overhang, many of the current imports are too fat for no reason.

I have a pair of Buck plain backs I'm putting on the bay soon . May be too big at 6"s .

If you mean that the two chucks that you have are both nominally 6" diameter, definitely. You might put a 6" diameter chuck on an 8" swing lathe but more likely a 9" or 10" or larger.
