1/6th scale 1890's 30ft navy steam cutter (live steam)

still doing work on the wood side of things, but did make the forward deck hold-down fixture,, it's pretending to be the forward mast ring and cap..

turned, cut, soldered and threaded a little brass, these are the the mast rings and covers, the one on the forward deck is also working as the deck hold-down fitting..

How does slim keep his hands so clean particularly after all that brass work.
 
spent some time with the 1" belt grinder/sander,, a little needle file work and some fine sanding.. one about done. It may even pass Slim's inspection..
