Another cold morning in the north country, its approaching noon and it is still below zero. This morning I was looking for a project
so decided to clean up the 12 inch 3 jaw chuck as it mostly sits around and collects dirt. After cleaning it up, I had to do something
with the chuck key as it was functional but not very elegant so decided to make a better chuck key. I really like the aluminum
balls on the ends of the key as it has a really nice feel to it when using it. It took about three hours to complete the job and maybe
I will use the chuck now more, at least hopefully so.
Here's a couple photos of the new chuck key and the old one as well for comparison.
