I was building a spline jig for my table saw to cut some grooves for splines in a box I’m building. I needed a T stud for the work stop, but for the life of me, I couldn’t find the ones I am pretty sure I have somewhere in the shop. No worries, I’ll just machine one. Or so I thought…
I measured the width of the T slot, and proceeded to turn the T portion to that diameter instead of making it larger and milling the flats to that width. I’m happy to say I only made that mistake once
