All,
I am looking for feedback and help from others that might have this old pump (which is installed on Bridgeport BOSS CNC). The short story is it does not pump well, and the pressure and volume is very low. I took the pump part a cleaned everything, including the leather cup seals. It "seems" to be better.
The concern I have now is the check valve at the bottom of the pump cylinder. There is a stainless ball held in place with a brass fitting (pictures attached. The brass fitting is not held in my anything and is a very loose friction fit. I can just pull it out with my fingernails. I am sure if you pump the value, this would back out, though be caught by the filter screen. I feel there needs to be a better means to old in the fitting and the ball. Has only taken one of these apart or replaced the filers (#@109)? Is there some part missing over the years?h
Thanks
