Clausing 8520 Table Leadscrew Problems

Hi, new Clausing 8520 owner. I’m having issues with the leadscrew protruding and causing either end of the table dials to push out or pull in. I have a couple of videos to show.

Not sure if it’s a retainer of some sort causing the screw to thread out or what. Thanks in advance for any help.

It does this when both hand cranks and dials are fully assembled?

so the left side should have circlips (inside clips) that hold the bearings from moving in the holder toward the center. I don't think the right has any if I remember

I wonder why they would take it out... crunchy? I had to hire someone to find C2 bearings for me.. C3 are abundant, but C2 were hard to locate.
