Cold Air Coolant System

I use a fogless type of mist sprayer (how's that for an oxymoron?) of my own design, but it is similar to some units that are commercially available. It can be used with just air, just coolant, or both. Obviously using both seems to work the best. Since the spray is primarily air with just small droplets of coolant, the air appears to do most of the work, but the coolant (in most cases) is definitely a requirement.

I have used the vortex coolers in the past and found them to be noisy, and used high quantities of air. But when machining most materials coolant was still needed so the vortex cooler was not so great. It did work great on a case packing machine that first bound bottles into six-packs bound by heat shrink plastic, then cooled them prior to putting two six packs into a cardboard case.
